How to Print From a Pinhole Camera 1.Once you have
constructed the pinhole camera, you are now able to print.
(Now you have to have access
to a dark room, and chemicals to do the following steps)
2.Do into the dark
room and make sure there are no white lights on and red lights are the only
lights on.
3.Once that step is
done, you can now pull out your photo paper.
4.Place an average
size piece of paper into the larger box and stick it on the back (but so it is
still able to be taken off.
5.Make sure your
box doesn’t have any hole or gaps that the light is able to enter in, and then
go outside and find a stable surface and place your pinhole onto.
6.Once you have
found a spot that is stable and the sun have a good lightening on you are ready
to take you photo.
7.Open the flap on
the smaller box and softly pull of the tap and hold for 30 seconds (on a cloudy
but bright day), once the 30 seconds are up place the tape back on the foil and
close the flap, also place your hand over the flap for extra protection.
8.Enter the dark
room again and, again make sure there is no white light and only red light is
on. Pull the pinhole camera apart and lightly pull off the photo paper.
·(you need the chemicals for the next steps) (DO NOT PLACE YOU
HANDS INTO THE CHEMICALS. Wear gloves when doing these next steps) The are
three different chemicals that you need to use. The developer, stop bath ( water),
and the fixer. All of the chemicals are ¾ water, ¼ chemical
9.Place the photo
paper into the developer, lightly lift on the bucket to move the chemical over
the paper. Keep the paper in here for 1 minute.
10.Then use tongs
and pick up the paper and place in the stop bath ( water ), this will remove
all the excess developer chemical before place in the fixer. Keep paper in here
for 30 seconds
11.Once again pick
up the paper with tongs and place into the fixer, keep the paper in here for 2
minutes. This chemical fixes whatever the developer did wrong.
12.Once the 2
minutes is up pick up paper with tongs and place into another stop bath to take
all the chemicals off. Keep in to water for 5 minutes then hang up and let dry
