Construction of the Pinhole Camera When you make a pinhole camera for roll or sheet film, use a small can or box as the camera body. You can use anything that has a tight-fitting top - a clean paint can, a vegetable shortening can, a 2-pound coffee can, a shoebox, or even a cylindrical oatmeal box.
To make the can light-tight, paint the inside with dull black paint or line it with black paper to prevent light reflections. If the can you use has a plastic lid, paint the lid black.
Be sure to paint it inside and out; then before using it, check to make sure no paint has chipped off. Chipped or peeling paint on the lid will allow light to enter the camera and ruin your pictures.
STEPS:
1.Cut 1 step of cardboard squares 15cm by 15cm (set 1),
2.Cut another set of cardboard squares 14cm by 14cm (set 2).
3.Tape set 1 into a box, so all the squares are connected,
4.Tape set 2 into a box as well.
5.Paint both sets black, inside and out. Then once you have painted oth boxes black, you can decorate the box with different colours of paint.
6.Cut a flap into the smaller box on the top, so that you are able to open and close the hole to let the light in.
7.Add foil and stick the foil into the inside of the smaller box, where you had just cut the flap.
8.Add a bit of tap onto the outside of the foil inside the flap and just lightly attach it to the foil, so it is easily removable.
9.Now you can add the photographic paper into the pinhole camera ( on the inside of the larger box and you must add the paper in a dark room that has red light and no white light leaks).
10.Then to take the photo you conjoin that boxes, so no white light is able to get into the box and walk outside and open the flap and slowly remove the tap from the foil, and depending on the day, allow the light into the box for a short amount of time, then place the tap back onto the foil and close the flap and place you hand over the flap
11.Now you are able to process the photo in special chemicals to make the photo appear on the paper.
